BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLAN
Statement Concerning Business Continuity Plan:
Casimir Capital L.P. (“Casimir Capital”) clears its securities business through Goldman Sachs Execution & Clearing, L.P. (“GSEC”) and Penson Financial Services, Inc. (“PFSI”).
Both GSEC and PFSI carry accounts and maintain the assets of our clients. Our clearing firms back up important records for Casimir Capital in separate geographically area.
While every emergency poses unique problems based on external factors, Casimir Capital has been advised by GSEC and PFSI that their objective is to remain operational during different types of business disruptions.
In the event that GSEC and/or PFSI are unable to remain operational, it is possible that your orders and requests for funds and securities could be temporarily delayed. Information about the respective GSEC and PFSI business continuity plans can be found by visiting their company websites.
Casimir Capital has developed a flexible business continuity plan to accommodate different types of significant business disruptions. Casimir Capital's business continuity plan addresses the following elements: mission critical systems; financial and operational assessments; alternative communications with clients, employees, alternate physical location of employees; critical supplier, contractor, bank and counter-party impact; and assuring that clients have prompt access to their funds and securities if Casimir Capital is unable to continue a securities business.
Business disruptions, by their nature, can vary greatly in size, scope, and duration. Casimir Capital has planned for two different "types" of business disruption, and these are as follows: a single building disruption, a localized disruption. It is the intent of Casimir Capital to remain operational during business disruptions of both types, and for an indefinite duration of time.
Casimir Capital maintains one central office and one backup facility to house mission critical persons and functions. In all types of business disruptions other than a wide reaching regional disruption that affects New York City, plans exist for relocation to a backup facility of mission critical persons and functions. It is believed that the only type of business disruption that could force Casimir Capital to become non-operational would be a wide reaching regional disruption. If such a wide reaching regional disruption occurred, and it became impossible for Casimir Capital to remain operational, it is expected that both GSEC and PFSI would be able to execute securities transactions, process payments for securities transactions, and process requests for funds and securities.
If after any business disruption you cannot reach a Casimir Capital representative as you customarily would, you should contact Casimir Capital at 888-744-1922. If you cannot contact Casimir Capital by calling 888-744-1922, you should immediately visit Casimir Capital’s website at www.casimircapital.com/us for more information. Additionally, if you cannot reach Casimir Capital by any of the aforementioned means you should contact GSEC directly by calling (212) 902-1000 and/or PFSI directly by calling (214) 765-1009. Both GSEC and PFSI will be able to provide information on how you may execute securities transactions, remit payment for securities transactions, or request funds or securities.
Please note that Casimir Capital's business continuity plans are subject to modification. Changes will be available upon request and may be posted on Casimir Capital's website.
